Vibes For Another Level
Hope you enjoy this other-worldly vibe as I dip into my alien self, complete the systems install and updates, and get ready for a solid night of progress.
Let's start with all the things I've re-installed, just waiting for the workload to start...
Adobe Creative Cloud
I mainly use Illustrator and InDesign at the moment for print-related tasks, although I have Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and many others installed or ready to install when needed. I like the flexibility of Creative Cloud as a system, because it allows the user to install only what they need and add or remove features as they go. These are on Windows atm.
Blender on Linux & Windows
This time around, I've setup Blender on both environments so that I can work on either system without having to switch when I decide to get creative. As you can see in the image, progress is coming along quite well and I now have many starting points for creating different characters in the future (or at least their heads for now ðĪŠ).
Unity For System Dev
Unity is also available on both Linux and Windows, although for now I've only set it up on the latter. I'm learning to use Unity for the enhanced UI options it provides for the MOOVPAD project moving forward.
So far so good in terms of progress.
VS 2019 & VS Code
I'm now running VS Code on the Linux setup and VS 2019 on the Windows system. VS Code is a more trimmed-down version but still very powerful, and certainly enough for most of the scripting work in Unity. VS 2019 is easier to use when I work on the traditional UI already being developed though, so I installed that too for now.
Essential Gaming ð
Yes, I didn't forget the gaming, or the vibes of course, so I've setup Steam and linked my game library (not very big, only two on this system, Civ VI and Halo Master Chief Collection ). Still waiting on Halo Infinite to be released but other than that, I don't really play too much with all the work going on. Sometimes though, It's good to just escape into gameplay for a bit, you know?
Next Up
With almost all systems back online and ready to work, it's time for me to do the same. To begin with, it's coding and scripting work to bring the already written code up to grade for the new systems in planning stage.
Til later folks, enjoy your day/night.
Stay awesome,
EMH
