Coding Flow 😎

Hopefully we've all had a great day/night of progress on what we have on, and ready for more to come. Here's a great track to get your energy levels up there, especially if you've had a long workday like me.

Let's see about those Ubuntu and Windows workflows.

UX Design

Adobe Xd has been a great help in getting together my ideas for the UX. I use it alongside Visual Studio for the coding, both running on my Windows 10 system. I haven't upgraded to Windows 11 as yet because I'm running an AMD system and have learned there are some issues with Windows 11 slowing down performance on AMD (soon to be rectified I think).

VS Code on Linux

Ubuntu has become my preferred system overall. There were a lot of things for my to learn initially. But once some of these were overcome, I'm finding myself a lot more comfortable with the OS and figuring things out as I go along. VS Code is one example where some of the basic issues I was having have been resolved (although a few may still be there, like having Unity find/understand VS Code as the default code editor).

Overall

While I'm gradually able to do more with Ubuntu, there are still some things that simply need Windows. And in terms of Linux distros for desktop, I've become a fan of Ubuntu but haven't tried others to be able to judge which is best for any specific workflows. But progress on both systems is going well I think.

See what I mean about always learning? Even tools 🙂

Stay awesome,
