Hi everyone. Hope you enjoy this great track as I write this post for you. As usual, chill and mellow for the start of work.

Today promises to be a busy one, so let's get to it...

Core & UI Objects

Today is going to be a little different. I'm going to start by working on the MOOVPAD coding first because I need to set a new plan for the next part and want to get that done early while I'm still focused on the task from yesterday. The aim today is to get the outline structure in place and plan the basic custom user controls for the current desktop UI.

Unity vs Unreal

While I've been trying Unity at the very basic level, I've also been wanting to look at Unreal Engine. I've found some important differences that apply more to game dev (e.g. better tooling in Unreal, plus the use of C++ instead of C#). SO I'll continue working in Unity for now but will also try to learn a bit more about Unreal Engine.

More 3D Fun

If all goes well, I hope to get more time later on to continue modelling the head of my first character in this project. Yesterday I posted the completion of the lightsaber project and the first stage of the MOOVPAD animated logo sequence (animation only, no sound added). So I feel like there's some good progress with the 3D projects and I want to keep up the pace with these.

Next Up

Coding first, like I said. If all goes to plan, I should have a really good outline structure for the next part of the project within a few hours or so.
