Unity Engine
In the interests of trying new potential solutions for developing better UI and UX for the MOOVPAD apps, I've decided to see what all the fuss is about when it comes to Unity. There is an alternative development engine but this one seems to be the more widely used. So I downloaded the Unity Personal a little earlier and will begin trying it out over the coming weeks (along with all the other stuff... insane).
Basics Tutorial
To help get started, I've found a basics tutorial that seems aimed at complete beginners to Unity like myself. The fact that I have some familiarity with C# will be a plus, but the rest of it is completely new. Hopefully the usefulness of this tool will be revealed fairly quickly and I can then give you all some idea as to whether it's beneficial or not.
Progress on MOOVPAD
The last couple of weeks have been spent on trying new approaches to different parts of the app since at this stage, it's important to set some future development direction that takes into account all of the current and emerging trends. Of course the main things like core code will not be affected by these, but UI and UX considerations, as well as potential approaches to data management and analysis, are specific areas to consider for the future.
As I've already mentioned previously, MOOVPAD's data policies are deliberately setup to minimise any potential threats and help ensure user privacy. But I also want to make sure that the work I do now can be easily verified and built upon by experts in the field later.
Stay awesome,
EMH
