Synth & Simulation 😎
Hope everyone is having an awesome start to their day and ready for solid progress ahead. Here's the latest release from the guys at Music Lab (and their awesome visuals) for you to enjoy as we take a look at different material simulations.
Let's see...
Concrete & Cement
Using only procedural techniques, it's possible to generate concrete and cement materials that are quite realistic and interact with scene lighting well.
The shader nodes I used to generate the coarse concrete effect are shown in the shader graph image at bottom left.
Coarse & Fine Marble
Marble surfaces are usual much smoother, and there is a very wide range of colours found in the grain of different marble around the world. However with a little bit of fiddling around, it's also possible to generate any kind of marble effect. The shader graph below shows the nodes used to generate the fine grey marble.
In previous renders, I've also shown how it's possible to generate different effects in glass materials, so feel free to check those out too.
Stay awesome,
EMH
