Work Ambience 😎
Hopefully everyone has had a great weekend so far with lots of time spent with family, friends and loved ones. Here's a great new track from Blume for a mellow background to any study/work you might have on at the moment as I update you on progress with a new Blog format.
Consolidated Posts
Starting next week, I'll have some extra work happening. To make sure that I can keep up with that and all the MOOVPAD tasks, I will be moving to a single post with summary updates on different projects and activities. You may have noticed my reduction in posting over the last week as a test. However I'll do my best to make sure this new single post format still allows me to share all the important info with you.
Progress on Apps
Overall wireframing continues to try and tie together a consistent UX across different devices and platforms. Progress has been good. With the core functional code pieces over 75% complete, there is more time now to focus on the UI and UI Interop layers.
3D Projects
As I've been preparing for the new tasks starting this coming week, I haven't had a chance to start a new render today. However I have been following along with the Unity Essentials training with a current focus on scripting and the Unity API. This is mainly about becoming familiar with the class structures and objects used in Unity.
Site Updates
Site growth has been following a similar type of pattern with the usual ups and downs in terms of viewers and visitors. I am probably still a while away from being able to bring collaborations and/or sponsors on board. Sponsorships were never the main goal for this site but might help with development progress in the future. We'll see how we go when the time comes.
The designs for the new site version are also progressing pretty well. There will still be an opportunity to bring together some of the content already posted into new sections on the current site (a kind of staging process for the new version). Probably the easiest point to start with that will be the areas where a tutorial was used and I can simply link to the original content creator's work for acknowledgement (and save time outlining the full development and rendering process).
I hope this new format is helpful to you guys.
Stay awesome,
EMH
