MOOVPAD Website: MS SQL & VS

Mellow Early Morning 😎

Hopefully we're all having a great start to our day/night so far, as I share the latest update on the website development work while chilling with the latest awesome mix from Work Music Lab to keep me company this morning. Let's take a look 🙂

Issues Resolved

I'm working on the MOOVPAD website v2.0 right now and am happy to report that the previous issues are now dealt with. The problem was that the tutorial showed one method of entering a connection string that was not right for my own system, and the solution was to simply link the SQL server in VS as a connected server and then extract the connection string from the properties.

Of course I fully expect the connection string to change again once this test app is deployed to Azure for hosting and testing since the servers themselves will be different. But for now, the solution seems to be working fine and more progress can be made with developing my core template.

The real benefit of this approach is the ability to now harness all of the features already included in the MOOVPAD core and data layers to power the online interface. Once the desktop UI is tested and ready, I can then look to make it responsive on other devices too (i.e. change of formatting on mobiles and tablets of different sizes).

Catch up again soon.

Stay awesome,

EMH
