MOOVPAD Web App – Latest Update

Always New Ideas 😎

The world is forever changing around us, and waits for nobody. Understanding this is important because it helps put our efforts into perspective. Finding new music to share with you all is always an awesome experience for me, and I've just another artist for the first time - Netsky. I hope you enjoy his latest set as we take a quick look at the latest work session 🙂

The Code - It Grows & Grows

Here's another reason why perspective is important: when we bring together code with markup, as well as do everything on a single web page, even navigating the file becomes harder. To give you guys an idea, I've only included two of the MOOVPAD screens so far and only empty box placeholders for UI elements without any input, text or interactive fields.

There's also no real processing code brought over yet from the desktop version (which may need to be added to slightly). So if we say I've put in about 2.5% of the markup fields, and only included 75% of the processing code for those elements, and currently sitting just under 500 lines of code written today for those simple bits, then we're talking about a single file of around... 8,000 lines of markup and code. Based on everything I've learned over the years, this should be a bad idea, and so I might need to reconsider using razor pages, since there's a separation between code-behind and markup.

Either way, I might start taking bits of the code and putting it into temporary holder files until the end. We'll see.

Now enough with the serious... I'm turning up the volume 🙂

Stay awesome,

EMH
