MOOVPAD Web App – Latest Update

Progress Tunes 😎

Although I only discovered their channel a relatively short while ago, I've come to really enjoy the work produced by Pandora Journey for the different kind of mellow it can provide, with great orchestral compositions like this latest release (yep... I like all sorts of music). Hope you enjoy this one with me while I catch us up real quick 🙂

UI Elements In Series

Since I've been developing the MOOVPAD Web App with most of the markup and coding happening on the same page, I reached out to a programming expert with lots of experience in the field of web dev, and especially working with MS solutions and C#. My main enquiry was about the difference in loading times between this approach and using separate razor components. And although this expert hadn't tested the difference directly, they believed the actual main difference would more likely be in terms of re-usability of elements.

Now of course, that's a very important consideration to have emphasised by someone of that caliber, and so another of my goals while putting together the UI markup has been focused on making sure to structure it in a way that allows different sections to be re-used in different areas of the UI as needed.

Some really good progress from the first coding session today, and I'll be spending some time working on MS Azure learnings next before trying to get some of the UI Interop layer working a bit later on tonight 🙂

Stay awesome,

EMH
