New Workflow

Whenever I start to work on a new task or part of the project, I try to share some of the basic workflow with you so that you can see how things get done. Because some things can seem too far out of scope without the right starting point. So here comes the latest trial workflow.

When working with Unity, it takes three parts to bring the project together. We start with the code for the core, then add some assets for the UI, and finally use Unity as the engine to merge these and do any necessary scripting. That's the idea so far anyway. Let's see how we go 😉

Solid Progress

There's ongoing work with the core code of course, and right now the focus is on tying the UI elements already developed with the core code. There's a lot of that to be done for each platform and the focus right now is on the desktop version. As I learn more about Unity and the possibilities, I'll update you on different options and why specific choices are made. For now though, I'm continuing with this tie-in work as planned. If changes are needed in the future they should hopefully be restricted to this layer and not be too difficult (just time-consuming, but might be worth it).

Always Learning

To the left is a Blender basics tutorial, and there are many of these available online. I chose Blender over 3DS Max since it seems to be the preferred standard atm. It's all pretty new to me but now we can learn as we progress the MOOVPAD project together.

Stay awesome,
