My Three-Week Intensive Goals
You guys have probably noticed that I shifted the focus of my current development and coding work, making it look as though I've completely lost my mind. Well... more than usual lol. Truth is that I have a plan. And that's to spend a total of 3 weeks (currently starting week 2 tomorrow) getting everything ready for the building of the test environment and initial deployment stage.
In the first week so far, I've gotten through the essentials of bash and python scripting. The screenshots here show some examples of this work already completed. The main screenshot below shows progress made this weekend after completing the python course I was doing. Being able to build python programs and scripts to run server-side means that I can begin building the core of what will eventually become the underlying layer of the server management framework, which itself will tie into the main MOOVPAD apps and systems. You can see in the screenshot below some of the example commands I've been collecting ahead of starting the actual linux training course, which will include many more.
At this stage, I'll be spending the next 2-3 days gathering more examples of things like general linux commands as well as more specialised utilities and commands that can be incorporated into the python framework (see the screenshot above). And at the end of this, I'll then start setting up the first test server that will be used as I start the server admin training course. By the end of the 3-week intensive I've planned, I'll be able to return to the MOOVPAD Web App development while putting in 1-2 hours per day towards the server-side training and development work for the next 7-8 months.
So its really just about giving the process a quick jump start.
Kinda like the one my brain needs most of the time 🙂
