Time To Plan Ahead
The journey from 2020 to now has been one of those trips that people mostly thought I was insane to start, would definitely fail (repeated with every stage), and not likely to garner any interest. And I'd be lying if I said there weren't times when I had doubts start to creep in too. But I kept telling myself that if I kept working and set aside all the doubts and negativity, I would reach the point where I had enough done to be able to see a better road ahead, and see that road more clearly. I think I'm finally there now perhaps, and we can start to look at more of the overall, high-level goals for the MOOVPAD projects. We've already looked at the development goals previously (14/01/24), so today we can look at a general rollout plan (although I may need to make some changes along the way).
Stage 1 - Calculator (1-2 modes)
The first stage will likely see the release of a basic PAPE calculator, available for free online. I already have much of the work completed for this, thanks to the work on the web app. Of course there will need to be some modifications to this since this calculator will not store data of any kind. It will be more about providing a learning aid and a chance to establish some basic server testing/frameworks. The goal right now is to have this ready to release March - April 2025.
Stage 2 - Web App
Some time around August - October 2025, I'd like to be able to release the full online-only MOOVPAD Web App, with all of the basic functions (perhaps not all of the preset MOOVs though). This will be helped by the first calculator stage as the server requirements and demand will be clearer. More serious fund raising efforts can then begin once this solid product is actually available, rather than just dreams/plans/visions.
Stage 3 - Mobile App
The MOOVPAD Mobile Apps should then follow within around 6 months hopefully, being released through multiple platforms. The infrastructure will be robust enough by that stage to support these apps, building towards the release of the remaining MOOVPAD Pro work soon after (I hesitate to put a timeframe to this stage just yet).
If you look at the previous development goals I released in January this year, you'll notice that the MOOVPAD Calculator (stage 1) is planned to be available by the time the development work is pretty much complete on all of the versions (to the extent possible at least). I'm not too concerned about the fund raising aspects at this stage because there's no point even thinking about it too much without concrete offerings ready to be presented. So it's just step-by-step.
Do you see why I'm losing my mind now? 🙂
