231125 – MOOV Program Design (Continued)

Evening Prep 😎

Over the last week, I've managed to make some good progress with this part of the MOOVPAD Desktop App, focusing on the way users can plan and build MOOV training programs. So I thought I'd take this opportunity to log the work on this part while we enjoy this latest awesome Chillhop Music release 🙂

MOOV Program Scheduling

The screenshot to the left shows the original design and WinForms control for the third step of users building their training program. When combined with the functionality built into the first two steps shown in earlier posts, this third step allows for MOOV programs to include detailed periodisation plans if users wish to be even more specific with their training objectives and performance goals.

The first part of the day saw me putting together the event handlers for drag and drop functionality. As we can see, there are several thousand lines of code that were added for this, although they are basically repeats of slightly modified code each time (it just took a long time). The next part of the work on this control involves all of the processing code.

Still lots to get done, and I hope to catch up again soon 🙂

Stay awesome,

EMH

HOW MOOVPAD IS BEING BUILT

For the overview of how MOOVPAD apps are being developed, the reasoning behind particular decisions during development, policies, links to the science and research at the core of MOOVPAD, and more in relation to all the technical things, please see the link to the left.

This will be an ongoing work in progress, and will always be linked to the bottom of each upcoming Blog post.
