231011 – MOOVPAD Web API

Working 😎

It's been almost 2 weeks since we last caught up. There's been a lot happening on my end with both MOOVPAD projects and other things as well. Some good progress along the way, and I hope you guys enjoy this awesome Chillhop Music station for your work day while I catch us up real quick 🙂

Web API Built & Tested

I've been working on a few different parts of the MOOVPAD Desktop App recently. One of the major parts required building and (initial) testing of the Web API. This is the part that allows distributed apps to interact with databases. While the Blazor Web App includes this part by default, I needed to build a stand-alone version for MOOVPAD Desktop App.

That wasn't difficult, but it was the first time I had tried it and there were some basic stumbling blocks along the way. Now though, I know it's working and can continue testing the Desktop App while I build it, using the same datasets.

The other major task I've been working on was a work-around for the issues with transparent images not functioning as expected. That was a bit of a sticking point for things like the compound gauge, but is now also solved.

Hope to catch up again soon, and all the best til then 🙂

Stay awesome,

EMH

HOW MOOVPAD IS BEING BUILT

For the overview of how MOOVPAD apps are being developed, the reasoning behind particular decisions during development, policies, links to the science and research at the core of MOOVPAD, and more in relation to all the technical things, please see the link to the left.

This will be an ongoing work in progress, and will always be linked to the bottom of each upcoming Blog post.
