230620 – Refactoring Index Page To UI Interops

Progress Is Progress 😎

It's been quite a busy few days in terms of sideline tasks, but I'll have a few days soon to focus on the refactoring work needed to get as much as possible of the code on the Index page moved to the UI Interop layer. Please enjoy this latest vibe from the awesome team at Chill Music Lab while I catch us up real quick 🙂

Developing New UI Interops

Much of the refactoring work to be done during the next week will be focused on the non-UI methods. These are things like the database calls for tribe and update information, which can then be fed back into the UI code for display. I've estimated that I can reduce the Index page code by around 2,500 lines based on the work already completed.

More importantly, since there's a large chunk of the UI code already completed (probably 60-70% of all the UI code needed for the complete web app), the remaining coding is likely to be focused on these UI Interop classes, and may save as much as 5-6K lines of code from needing to be refactored later for the desktop and mobile versions.

Really hope you guys have an awesome couple days ahead, and all the best to you and yours til we catch up again 🙂

Stay awesome,

EMH
