Early Morning Tranquility 😎
I've actually been working through the night on and off, but technically yes, early morning now, and I have this nice mellow background vibe from Tranquil Music to keep me company as I share the plans for the rest of the day with you guys 🙂

Data Binding Fields
With traditional HTML markup, input fields like text boxes had to be named and given a type and so on. I've learned now though that with Razor pages, the data injection model works differently, and the data binding is done automatically. There are advantages to this approach but also some disadvantages, like working with non-MS database servers.
Fortunately this isn't a big issue for me, as my history with SQL and different coding languages allows me to adapt relatively quickly and when needed, I can add manual SQL queries to cater for different systems. The most important objective for me is always function first, making sure that whatever I do remains functional and capable of achieving the necessary goals. Making additions to cater for different database options is really no biggy at that point.
Really enjoying the tutorial so far though, and making good progress. The image above shows the binding of the input fields and the post method portion for the Create Category functionality (basically the same as any other operation where the adding of data to the database is needed).
See you guys a bit later.
Stay awesome,
EMH
