The Concept
As a greenhouse for cuttings, there's usually lots of space underneath benches which I would like to use for worm bins to recycle food and garden waste. Overhead irrigation lines would be fed by water tanks storing rainfall collected by large roof surfaces, which would also hold solar panels. Underground would see geothermal network pipes tied into an overall grid.
Beside the structure on one side would be warm compost bays that would also generate enormous amounts of heat, which could be fed through the cutting beds themselves during the day to help keep the mix warmer than ambient, On the other side of the structure would be a hardening off area with partial shadecloth cover, for when successful plants are ready to begin transitioning to outdoor climates.
