New Render – Centrus Neurum

4K Cyber 😎

Not a bad start to the week, with great concept vibes and new imagery. Hope you guys enjoy this great ambience track and really cool visuals as I introduce:

The Concept

This is a small part of one of the Built Environments that I'm working on. The concept begins, as always, with the object creation stage. I've hidden some feature for later, but the main elements (at least in their current form) can be seen in the first image to the right, where the main object meshes are designed and placed roughly.

Cameras & Lighting

The next stage was to simply add the cameras and lighting elements for this area. You'll notice that for the purposes of early visualisation, the upper circuit board ring was kept of the surface of the hub, but later inset once I started to prepare the materials and other elements.

Materials & Render

For this particular render, only one area light can be seen, with the remaining lighting effects generated by the other elements and materials in the composition. At a 4K resolution setting, the single frame in the main picture above has a file size of 41.3 MB. This might not sound like much, but if you think about... say 24 fps, and a scene that runs for around one minute as an example, the combined frames would have a raw initial file size of around 59,500 MB (59.5 GB)!

Stay awesome,

EMH
