Hope you guys enjoy this latest release from Blume, showcasing some great visuals and vibes, as we delve into the far reaches of space, beyond the known regions and into the nebular 😉

The Concept

In this exercise, the aim was to replicate the kind of imagery that I grew up seeing on shows like Star Trek, when Kirk would order his crew straight into the middle of a cloud formation in the deepest regions of some unknown corner of the universe (only to discover later that it is actually a living organism... DUN DUN DUN DUUUUUN 😀 )

The idea is pretty easy to implement with some shader nodes, applied to the volume (rather than the surface) of an object like a cube. The camera and any animation would then be placed within this cube, surrounded by the simulated nebula. You can see how the effect was applied in the smaller images.
