MOOVPAD: Projects & Overall Picture

Work Chill 😎

Hope you're having an awesome day/night of progress with your work, study or just relaxing and enjoying life.

This is another great track from Music Lab released a little earlier. Please enjoy as I put together the overall MOOVPAD picture for you.

MOOVPAD User System

The easiest element to describe is the app that will be released for general users, since in principle, it is essentially a health and fitness app (albeit with different features and functionality) that will offer preset exercises and the ability to customise workouts based on individual goals and preferences. While the core of this app will be the same on any platform, the UI is being developed for both desktop (for things like account management, program development, etc) and mobile (mainly used during actual training).

MOOVPAD Professional System

The other major element of the MOOVPAD system is an interface for use by exercise and training professionals. These professionals need to be able to manage multiple users and require different assessment and program development tools. However much of the core code used in the MOOVPAD project will carry over into this system also.

As with the general user app, this professionally-focused version is also being developed for desktop and mobile.

Underlying Science

As part of the apps above, and necessary for the education and training purposes of app users, the third major element/project is the compilation of explanations, examples and walk-throughs of the PAPE framework. Already completed are the sections on walking/running, and attention is now mainly focused on other exercise modalities (e.g. cycling). Importantly, these books and app inclusions are designed to be a replacement for professional coaching or personal training, but rather provide guidance on using the PAPE principles in any relevant program.

Bringing It Together

While all of the other projects and features that I include in this Blog may at first seem unrelated, this is likely because I am seeing the complete plan for my work moving forward and considering future requirements. But since many of these are things that I am still in the early stages of learning, or otherwise unable to disclose just yet for commercial considerations, I understand that they can seem like a disconnect.

So let me put it this way: all of the things posted on the Blog are either progress updates on one or more of the projects, or things that I happen to be learning about, or something special I feel worth mentioning because it might be helpful or useful for something others might be working on. Like... you for example 😉

Stay awesome,
