Warming Up 😁
When you want to get a little creative, you need some cool vibes to go with the mood.
Hope you enjoy this current track I've got playing right now as write this. Let's see what I've been up to...
Modelling the Head (Part 1)
So I began a new tutorial to learn how to model a character in Blender, again mainly just to practice the tools and techniques. But since this is a lengthy process with a different tutorial for each part of the character, it's going to take quite a while. Tonight I was happy to just model the basic shape of the head and add the chin and loop to surround the eyes, learning to use sculpting tools and mirror technques, moving vertices around, and so on.

Of course if you happen to have a specific drawing or character template you want to work from then your results might be very different from what I have here or the tutorial video itself. I am using my knowledge of the body to scale and build things as I go, knowing that I can make adjustments later if needed.
It's all just in the name of fun for me because I enjoy getting creative when I can as a change of pace.

Unity Learnings
Tonight I will be starting the next Unity tutorial linked on the right. It's much more involved than the previous one I shared with you guys and should hopefully teach me a lot more about the physics engine and specific scripting techniques that will come in handy later on for my UI work.

Next Up
I go back to coding in a little while. Last night I kept getting an error with the UI in a particular spot in the code. It was part of a whole bunch of code I had written as blocks one after the other and left the actual testing for later. And the error was basically 2 lines of code that were placed after a method call instead of before, but I couldn't figure it out because I was so tired. SO linking back to today's theme, sometimes it's important to step back from your work in order to maintain your productivity and not just spend time achieving nothing. Then when you're ready, get straight back in there and kick the proverbial out of it 😀
Stay awesome,
