Peaceful Vibes 😌
OK I'll play nice-nice for tonight... here's a long, peaceful, relaxing type of track as background for good focus while I write this post for you.
Soothing, yes?
First Learnings In Unity
A very simple project to begin with, just to learn the basic tooling and interface of Unity and the type of methods/functions available within it's MonoBehaviour class. As you can see, it's a very basic object, standing on a floor, and the object jumps when the space key is pressed. it's just the first half of the tutorial so far because I've been doing other things in the meantime as well. The tutorial I'm following is linked below:
And yes, I made the short demo above just for you guys and shared it because I made a thingy jump on my screen. Very simple concept but it demonstrates that at least in theory, I can capture inputs and have the UI react in a similar way to event handling in traditional types of UI.
If the tutorial linked to the right is too long and you just want to get a quick overview of Unity, here's another tutorial linked below that only takes 17 minutes:
Now I'm going to switch things over to Blender again a little later (and actually planned to do that first), but since I already had everything ready to go for this demo, I thought I would at least make a start on the tutorial tonight.
See you soon with more later.
Stay awesome,
