Local VM vs Local vs Remote VM
Thought I'd share some of the work I've been doing with all the learning and server practice things. In truth, the learning process has given me a lot of time to think about some of the strategies that are needed to improve server-side operations at every level, and I've started with local VM's (although these are only level 2 VM's running in VirtualBox).
The plan is to get all of the initial settings and basics right in the local VM environment before moving the same settings to the local physical server, and then finally trying these same settings on the remote VM. Once I have that working as intended, I'll then work on some of the more complex things like containers, and keep rolling out each stage in the same way - local VM, to local physical server, to the remote VM.
For now, all is well in the land of mental poltergeists lol 🙂
