Security & Remote Management

The screenshots here show some of the learning and focus from this weekend. These are all the results of tutorials I've been completing, with the current learning covering the use of OpenSSH. This learning in particular has helped me understand how the DDoS attacks and firewall data that I've presented elsewhere are being manipulated remotely.

More importantly, I'm learning the necessary methods to not only prevent these same issues on MOOVPAD-hosted servers (unlike this present site hosted as a WordPress - vulnerable - service), but also how to apply CI/CD to server-side networking and security operations for MOOVPAD long-term. This includes the necessary tools to personally test these approaches for effectiveness through pen-testing techniques. Slowly but surely, my understanding is improving. Main goal: ensure the security of MOOVPAD users in the most effective ways possible, at all times, by the time the project launches.

Hope your projects are also progressing well, and catch up again soon with more 🙂

Stay awesome,

EMH

HOW MOOVPAD IS BEING BUILT

For the overview of how MOOVPAD apps are being developed, the reasoning behind particular decisions during development, policies, and more in relation to all the technical things, please see the link to the left.

This will be an ongoing work in progress, and will always be linked to the bottom of each upcoming Blog post.
