Main Goal: Improved Products
Obviously, one of the main aims of redesigning the MOOVPAD Web App is to improve the overall look and feel of the web app. But the refactor... that's because of the new approach of making all of the MOOVPAD apps available with full functionality in both online and offline modes, depending on the user's license.
Users that choose to stick with the free version will have access to the essential features, with a limited database storage assigned. Those who choose to have a paid license will then get the bonus features with an unlimited online storage as well as local offline storage by virtue of using the versions of the downloadable apps (desktop and mobile). This change from the original plan means that users with a paid license will now be able to use all of the functions they would normally need a desktop or mobile version for, but from a browser.
There are several reasons for this decision. I wanted to give paid users the ability to use the apps even on devices they don't personally own or when they don't have access to the downloaded version of the MOOVPAD apps (e.g. when travelling). And there are also other business reasons, which we'll discuss later 😉
I've never claimed a lack of madness. Just that some of it may have useful applications 🙂
