240904 – MOOVPAD Web App – Animation Examples

First Stage Animation Goals

In the post earlier today, I mentioned that I will be refactoring the format screen methods, breaking them into specialised tasks for each platform. Besides the short-term benefits to the building of the UI screens, I also mentioned the potential benefits later when it comes time to animates. So I thought I'd give a brief example and demo here of what I mean.

These examples were prepared quite a while ago using Flash, although at this basic level, I'm sure most, if not all, of these effects can be achieved using CSS. But CSS doesn't apply to other markup languages and platforms the same way as for web. So MOOVPAD needs to develop an in-house engine. And so the new refactoring being done to the format screen methods, which use element positioning only at this stage, are being structured to allow a later integration of animation tasks to handle simple and more complex animations.

Yes... because E 🙂

Stay awesome,
