Reference Gathering
During the past few days, I was able to gather all the new information I'm likely to need for the new patent (although I may need more references later during the actual writing). It was good to see that in some areas, science has advanced quite a bit. There's been less progress made in some areas. But that's the nature of science in any field.
The reason for putting this research into patents instead of scientific journals is that at the moment, I do not believe there is a journal available, or suitable submission format, for this kind of relatively mathematics-focused work in physiology-related publications. Such publications usually require a scientific study or systematic literature review with the new equations included as part of the protocol or discussion. This is in addition to the obvious commercial applications of the work.

Now it's important to note that patent filing does not prevent clinical practitioners, fitness professionals or scientists conducting research to use the physiologic framework being developed for MOOVPAD apps with their patients/participants. Patents only affect commercial applications of the work.
Work that now continues 🙂
Stay awesome,

HOW MOOVPAD IS BEING BUILT
For the overview of how MOOVPAD apps are being developed, the reasoning behind particular decisions during development, policies, links to the science and research at the core of MOOVPAD, and more in relation to all the technical things, please see the link to the left.
This will be an ongoing work in progress, and will always be linked to the bottom of each upcoming Blog post.
