231127 – MOOV Program Design (Continued)

Morning Prep 😎

Another really good day of progress yesterday saw a lot more code added to the MOOVPAD Desktop App, and I'm now setting up for the rest of the day. Since we've been mixing things up a bit lately, I hope you guys enjoy this awesome release from 'the man from del monte' while we catch up 🙂

Adding, Selecting & Deleting

Comparing the two screenshots shown here, we can see that the code for this control - the third step in the MOOV program design for users - has reached almost 10,000 lines of code in just 2 days so far! Most of this code is repetitive and I only wish there were a way to simplify it. Unfortunately since each slot in the schedule needs to be uniquely identifiable as well as holding specific MOOV data, a lot of code is needed.

The big chunk of code added yesterday dealt with selecting and deleting MOOVs (screenshot to the right), following on from the code to add those MOOVs in the previous post (screenshot above). There's still some more to be done on these functions. Once that's completed (hopefully before the evening), I'll start working on the temporary storage of these selections for both AM and PM hours (see the selection field on the right of the control).

So much work done on this control already, with still lots to get through. I'll get back to it and wish you guys a great day 🙂

Stay awesome,

EMH

HOW MOOVPAD IS BEING BUILT

For the overview of how MOOVPAD apps are being developed, the reasoning behind particular decisions during development, policies, links to the science and research at the core of MOOVPAD, and more in relation to all the technical things, please see the link to the left.

This will be an ongoing work in progress, and will always be linked to the bottom of each upcoming Blog post.
