230712 – Updated Gauge Design

Working 😎

The schedule this week is a little bit weird with days off in the middle but scattered, with the next focus block of 3 days still a couple weeks away. Between now and then though, there's quite a bit of work to get done, and I hope you guys enjoy this latest release from Chill Music Lab while we take a look 🙂

Adding Modes To Gauges

The screen capture to the left was the proof of concept for the first compound gauge, intended to be used to display user MOOV performance during the session. However there are some features that weren't needed at that stage, which now need to be added to get the gauge functioning as intended. These include various display and comparison modes.

The function buttons on the sides of the gauge (seen in the large screen capture above of the new design) will be used to switch between displaying standard physiologic work output (WO) results and the efficiencies based on these (if physiologic data is available during the session) or mechano-physiologic work output (MWO). For more information on these, you can find all the geek in the Resources section.

The comparison feature at the bottom will be used to compare current user performance to a range of user, tribe and global comparison points. More on these things later.

Looking forward to catching up again real soon, and wishing you a great day 🙂

Stay awesome,

EMH

For the overview of how MOOVPAD apps are being developed, the reasoning behind particular decisions during development, policies, links to the science and research at the core of MOOVPAD, and more in relation to all the technical things, please see the link to the left.

This will be an ongoing work in progress, and will always be linked to the bottom of each upcoming Blog post.
