After some good rest, I'm getting ready for a full day of work on MOOVPAD goals. But I wanted to start off with a quick mention of the important distinctions between social functions on MOOVPAD apps and what's already available on social media platforms. Hope you enjoy this Chill Music Lab release while we see what I mean 🙂
Social vs 'Social Media'
The main functions of the MOOVPAD apps (whether web, desktop or mobile) center around exercise and training in a wide variety of contexts. And the social functions built into the MOOVPAD apps are intended to enhance user experiences around these main functions, rather than being stand-alone 'social media' functions. MOOVPAD apps may be used by some users as social groups, but the intention isn't really to have MOOVPAD become a pure social media platform.
This distinction will influence the way certain things are shared among user groups and publicly (if they choose to do so), how and for how long information is stored by the MOOVPAD system, and how users interact with their tribe and those they choose to 'follow'. None of these statements are intended to suggest that MOOVPAD won't have powerful social functions. It's just that if you want social media offerings simply for their intended purposes, there are already established outlets for that, with new platforms launching regularly. Go nuts 🙂
