230604 – Tribe Data Tables

Chill Chill 😎

Hopefully we've all had a great weekend so far and managed to get some relaxation time after a busy work week. I'm fortunate enough to have a few days off from any sideline tasks to focus on some of the MOOVPAD goals, and I wanted to share this latest awesome release from Chill Music Lab while we see what's happening 🙂

Developing New Data Tables

In my last post, I mentioned that the main tribe screen was being built and needed to be tested along with the rest of the tribe functions. Those functions of course need some data tables, and that's going to be the focus for me tonight. Now for a professional data engineer, who can probably just look at a task like this and automagically arrive at the optimal data table structure, this goal is likely really easy.

And although my skills in this area have improved a little since I started the project, it will take me significantly more time to optimise the data structure, which may need to be reviewed again later too (depending on app performance at testing time). These new tables need to account for all the different metrics, messages and uploads, event functionality, and much more, besides the basics of tribe member management.

Lots of work, but good progress too 🙂

Stay awesome,

EMH

HOW MOOVPAD IS BEING BUILT

For the overview of how MOOVPAD apps are being developed, the reasoning behind particular decisions during development, policies, links to the science and research at the core of MOOVPAD, and more in relation to all the technical things, please see the link to the left.

This will be an ongoing work in progress, and will always be linked to the bottom of each upcoming Blog post.
