230520 – Compound Gauge Stage 2 Complete

Progress 😎

Hopefully we've all had a great start to our weekend and lots of enjoyable things with friends and loved ones. I've had no breaks really (no rest for the wicked I suppose), but I have made some good progress, and even though I initially thought it would take a few days to complete because of sideline work, I got it done and wanted to share this latest awesome release from Chill Music Lab while I catch us up real quick 🙂

Proof Of Concept Complete

So what we see here is one of the MOOV screens (in this case, for aerobic training on the treadmill to be specific, which is one of many modes of training in the MOOVPAD Web App). Comparing to the capture on the left, the main capture below shows the addition of one of the forms of the compound gauge in it's initial starting state (ie. with all gradations clear).

The improvements I want to make to this particular example later include the pixelation of fine borders like those seen in the outline of the gauge, as well as a couple of the gradations that seem to have been automatically saved with different dimensions (therefore requiring positional changes to be rendered correctly). I also managed to get most of the code completed last night for the calculations needed to display the necessary metrics on the gauge. I'm hoping to start testing some of those things soon as well, but some more work is needed on parts of the new PAPE elements.

Have a great couple days ahead, and catch up again soon 🙂

Stay awesome,

EMH

HOW MOOVPAD IS BEING BUILT

For the overview of how MOOVPAD apps are being developed, the reasoning behind particular decisions during development, policies, links to the science and research at the core of MOOVPAD, and more in relation to all the technical things, please see the link to the left.

This will be an ongoing work in progress, and will always be linked to the bottom of each upcoming Blog post.
