230518 – Compound Gauge Progress

Chill Chill 😎

Peoples... it has been a really long day, with little sleep and lots of MOOVPAD and sideline work along the way. And so with some more progress made on the compound gauge tonight, I thought it was a good chance to share this update while we enjoy this latest limited time stream from Chillhop Music 🙂

Metrics Representations

I've just finished a few hours of coding for the new compound gauge concept after a full work day, but the markup and basic variable declarations are now complete. This meant adding about 300 lines of code to the Index.razor page, which has now almost doubled in size from my initial estimate of 10,000 lines. And while I might be able to reduce that a little, chances are it will still be over 20,000 lines by the time it's done (not to mention all the UI Interop and other classes).

One of the main reasons for doing all of this coding on the index page is the presentation of the user interface at the end. For example, the use of transparent layers isn't really possible with razor components (at least as far as I'm aware), and that's just one of the reasons.

Anyway, good progress today and I might not get to catch up again for a few days, but wish you guys all the best 🙂

Stay awesome,

EMH

HOW MOOVPAD IS BEING BUILT

For the overview of how MOOVPAD apps are being developed, the reasoning behind particular decisions during development, policies, links to the science and research at the core of MOOVPAD, and more in relation to all the technical things, please see the link to the left.

This will be an ongoing work in progress, and will always be linked to the bottom of each upcoming Blog post.
