230517 – Generating Compound Gauge Files

Chill Work Ambience 😎

I took the day off from sideline tasks and focused on getting as much progress happening with these new UI elements as possible, and the results are going well so far. Here's the latest release from the team at Chill Music Lab while we see 🙂

So Many .PNG's

With the overall concept for one of the gauges designed yesterday (left screen capture), I started with the internal gradations and the variety of colours that may be needed for these across different styles of UI metrics elements. Each of the gradations, for each colour, needed to be saved as an individual file (and although each circle appears incomplete in the main screen capture, I actually saved the full 360 degrees for each)... which is many many, not just many.

The good thing about that being completed now is that I can use these gradations in a flexible way for all sorts of different presentations and styles, with or without the compound gauge. This will be useful for things like the summary results screen and others.

Catch up again soon, and all the best to you and yours 🙂

Stay awesome,

EMH
