A good afternoon's progress on more than one task, and I thought it was time to take a bit of a break to post this latest custom control addition and share this awesome vibe from Chill Music Lab as we go through the results so far 🙂
Adding Custom Toggle Switches
In the original design to the left, I had included placeholder fields for settings like the auto-save and auto-upload as well as the 2FA setting. I knew at the time that I would need to use a better solution than dropdown lists, and the obvious choice was to use controls that users would be familiar with from other apps and platforms.
The updated design concept on the right shows the new toggle switches, which have been standardised in the markup already. This means that I can change all of the source images for the different parts of the switches as well as the text for the status (e.g. either on/off, or yes/no, etc).
With the markup for these now completed through the coding session just now, I'll be doing some of the functional C# for these switches next. Have a great day/night ahead, and all the best til we catch up again 🙂
